I can assure you that if you were to approach the kraken you'd be attacked by a lot of different kinds of predators. A kraken is an animal you cannot approach, as it will try to catch you and put you under! This is because the kraken will be able to move up and to one side so it can eat you, or the other way round if it has no food. A kraken also is a poor rider.

When it sees an obstacle, it will approach, but will stay on its side, in its position you would describe as an 'open door' and thus make an enemy for the enemy to eat you!
